I want to put China in the same category as Italy. Germany. the Rumanians. the Bulgarians. or the others. who incidentally are fighting against us. I think that is the least we can do for them. and by bringing them under the provisions of our immigration laws. any discussions we might have as to quotas regarding immigration. whether they are revised upward or downward. the Chinese. who are our allies. ought to be on the same footing as the other peoples of the *orld. and that is all this legislation does. There has been d great deal said here about what the other Asiatics will demand. It has been pointed out that India is not an independent nation. that Korea is not an independent nation.
