I understand that permission has already been obtained. so that will probably come up Wednesday. Then the amendment to the Mexican claims bill has been disagreed to by the Senate and that measure will go to conference and I assume a conference report will be brought in. These are the only bills I know of that will come up under the regular rules of the House next week. There is a bill pending before the Ways and Means Committee relating to tariff questions that we are all acquainted with and there is considerable opposition to it. principally on the ground it might change the immigration laws. although there is no desire to do that.
