Session #77 · 1941–43

Speech #770201638

Mr. Speaker. there is a very serious question here. I do not know whether it is the province of the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization or some other committee of this House to discuss and find out about it. That is the subject of dual citizenship. I think we can pretty well control aliens. because. after all. they do not have the rights that citizens have. but when it comes to the question of dual citizenship we are in a very dangerous state. Curiously enough. it is the enemy countries from which these dual citizens come to this country and whose children and grandchildren may hold dual citizenship.
