This legislation is needed now because there are thousands of such persons seeking to enter the service of the United States and ready to defend this country with their lives and it is no more than fair that we should recognize those people who desire to become part and parcel of our defense program. and at the same time give them the right to become citizens of the United States without a lot of red tape. Mr. Chairman. this is a Worthy provision and it ought to be enacted into law at the earliest possible moment. The Committee on Naturalization wishes this committee godspeed and will support their bill.
