I have been waiting until the gentleman from. Alabama could return so we could have a hearing on the rereported bill. The bill will provide for the deportation of about 2.000 aliens that are now being held by the Department. but the Department cannot deport them because of provisions of law now in existence. but under H. R. 3 it will be possible to deport all those guilty of any felony or of any crime involving moral turpitude. I am hopeful that shortly that bill will be before us. notwithstanding that certain gentlemen. especially from the Dies committee. oppose the rule.
