I am against the bill. I was against it last year. I am thankful that I was on the committee which held public hearings on the bill. I am thankful that I had something to do. I hope. with defeating the bill. There is another bill pending that would permit the refugees of the world to take over the 590.000 square miles of Alaska. I am against that bill. because I want to save the vast Alaskan Territory. which is almost as large as all the States east of the Mississippi River. for the present and oncoming generations. That is our last frontier.
