This bill would simply restore to him citizenship in his mother country. He was born here. That is all there is to the bill. It has nothing to do with aliens at all. This man is an American by birth. and his family have been Americans for years before him. but because of certain conditions under which someone in a business transaction cheated him in Canada. he lost both his money and his citizenship. The President vetoed the bill. saying that this man ought to recover his citizenship through the regular naturalization channels. I do not find any fault with it. I do not get hot about all these things.
