Again I thank him for having brought to my attention the Bridges case. Miss Perkins is especially proud of the work of the Immigration and Naturalization Service while it was under her jurisdiction. I might digress there to recall to the Members of this body that during her supervisorship of that Service of the Government she permitted 700 alien criminals to leave this country and then to return to the country. for the reason that that was the only way they could possibly get in under her interpretation of the seventh proviso. But since that Lime this division has been transferred from the Department of Labor to the Department of Justice.
