The resolution came before the committee again only a few weeks ago. but I am reliably informed they are not going to vote out a rule on it. Why? Because some people in this Capitol talk about enforcement but do not want enforcement. some people talk about the evils of immigration and make a lot of capital out of it. but they do not really want enforcement of the immigration laws. Why? I have in some way discovered that over a number of years bad practices have arisen. for instance. during seasonal employment of farm hands in the West they bring in a lot of peon cheap labor.
