I should like to propound a question to the Senator from Utah and also to the Senator from North Carolina. who has in the past year or more devoted a great deal of time to the study of the subject of immigration. It is reportedat least I have heard it from sources which I think are fairly reliablethat shiploads of refugees are coming into this country. remaining in the country. mingling with the citizens. and that there is a general letting down of the bars of our Immigration laws. I should like to know whether either the Senator from North Carolina or the able Senator from Utah knows of that situation. and if so. by what authority such a condition exists.
