Speech #750232802

I am making no plea for him. I might say that he is no more lacking in appreciation of our country than the 21.000.000 voters at the last Presidential election who could have voted and did not do so21.000.000 of them in this country. The alien who does not take out his naturalization papers is no worse. in my judgment. than those men and women who failed to exercise their right and duty of suffrage. but I do not want to protect him. I do not care anything about him. I am talking about his American wife and his American children.
