He was permitted to reenter this country after the war. and upon reentry stated he had not been convicted of a crime. The record. of course. showed the contrary. because he had been convicted of a crime.. This man has lived here quite a long while. Is married. and has six children. Now. although the crime was committed many years ago in this country. he is subject to deportation. His case is not covered in this bill. I merely mention it to show there are many such instances. and I believe these cases are of that nature. concerning men who are married and have little children. children who are dependent upon them for their support.
