After considering 100 bills we have decided favorably with reference to about 40 bills and reported them. This is not permanent law. This is not an amendment to the immigration law. The moment relief is granted that law is gone. It is dead. It has nothing to do with quotas. it has nothing to do with people who are immoral. Mr. Speaker. these people are mandatorily deportable by a ruling of the Attorney General. I disagree with my good friend the gentleman from Ohio in his statement that they cannot be deported. I say they must be deported under a ruling of the Attorney General. Incidentally. these are not all people of my faith. They are both Christians and Jews. who have been swindled by a group of racketeers. and they did not know they were in this country illegally.
