I rise in opposition to the amendment. Mr. Chairman. it is evident to me from the large number in attendance here this afternoon. as well as the attention the Members are giving to the debate. that the majority of this Congress would like to see the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization bring a bill before the House that would require the Secretary of Labor and her subordinates to deport every alien who is now in this country unlawfully. There were a few of us who were greatly interested in this matter during the last session of Congress and who tried hard to get some real legislation on this subject brought out on the floor of the House for debate. We tried to get the chairman to have hearings on the bill introduced by Mr.
