I am not a member of the Committee on Immigration. I do not know a thing in the world about what took place in the committee. Please do not charge me with that. All I know. I say to my friend from Oregon. is that I think there is a lot of merit in this bill and that it ought to pass this House. for it will help the American workman who has had his job taken away by some allen. I do not know whether that is true on the Canadian border. but I do know that it is true on the Mexican border.
