American workers should not lose their bread and butter to stimulate imaginary foreign trade. If the gentleman will get a copy of my bill which is now pending before the Ways and Means Committee. the gentleman will find this bill provides that wherever the total landed costs of any commodity or article coming into the United States are less than the cost of the production of a similar article or commodity produced in the United States. that article shall be barred from the United States.
