Mr. Chairman. I make the point of order that it is not germane in that the amendment just offered affects a different class of immigrants to that under consideration before the committee. namely. mothers and fathers of American citizens. It affects a class which the committee has in no wise sought to amend by any amendment the number that may be admitted into this country who are skilled in agriculture. It restricts the number. in that particular to 12 2 per cent and violates the rule that the committee is considering a subject foreign to that which was given consideration by the committee.
