Res. 355) was read and ordered to lie over under the rule. as follows: Resolved. That the Secretary of Labor be. and is hereby. requested to furnish to the Senate the following information: First. the estimated number of aliens who have unlawfully entered and are now in the United States. Second. approximately what number of such aliens are subject. to deportation under existing laws. Third. what additional appropriations of money are necessary to accomplish the prompt deportation of such aliens. Fourth. what changes should be made in existing laws to facilitate the deportation of undesirable aliens.
