However the case may be. it is the fact at present that all immigrants from the Philippine Islands desiring transportation to the United States are given a severe. searching inspection. and if it is shown that they carry germs in any way they are placed in quarantine. Therefore I believe the Public Health Service is doing just as much as could possibly be done to protect us against contagion as though the Philippine Islands were a foreign country.
