I know that those who are running certain industries in this country desire to obtain labor as cheaply as possible and that they will contract for labor and bring it here and use it to the hurt. the injury. and the poverty of the American laboring man. I am opposed to having that done by anybody. whether he lives in the North. the South. the East. or the West. Certain Mexican immigrants used to come over here and work on the farms along the border line of Texas in the cropgathering season. Then they would go back. Then later they commenced to come over and remain.
