There is one aspect of this immigration law I want to touch upon that has interested me very. very much. nud that is what ought to be done with the unusual number under the quota. And that has been brought to my attention by the remarks of the gentleman who has just preceded me. Probably all gentlemen here do not realize that in the year following the Ist of July. 1924. when this law went into effect. practically 4.000 people ot those entitled to come in from different countries did not use their quota number. and the next ybar something like 2.800 people entitled to come in did not use their quota number.
