Session #68 · 1923–25

Speech #680192657

I shall be glad to yield. ir. President. I do not discredit the statements of Senators on the other side. but I have a very strong suspicion that somewhere. not disclosed to the Senate. there is an influence operating for the purpose of preventing speedy naturalization in the city of New York. For what purpose I do not intimate. My interest in this* matter is to see. if I can. that this question is dealt with in such a way by the Semite. that .that condition of congestion in the naturalization of aliens in this great cen-. ter oft alien population shall not be continued.
