Speech #680191145

Of course. some peoplethis doesnt apply to anybody present in the House--do not desire all the light on subjects that they might get. but I am not going to blame them. This bill provides for amendments to sections 18. 19. and 20 of the immigration act of February 5. 1917. providing a method of procedure and deportation which is so that it can be handled and carried out. and then provides in section 19 those who shall be deported in clear and concise language. Subdivision 1: Any alien who at the time of entry was a member of one or more of the classes excluded by law from admission to the lnited States. That covers those included in section 3 of the immigration act of 1917. with the amendments which were passed during the war.
