Mr. Speaker. this question is more largely a question of deportation than it is a question of immigration. Almost all of these people are here in the United States now. They came here in good faith. They came here In response to a construction of the law by the courts of the land. No gentleman can stand on this floor and consistently claim that they are to.blame. For my part. I can not vote to send these people back. I do not believe it is right. I do not believe this House desires to do anything of the kind. [Applaus6.]
