I have the utiiost confidence in my colleague. the chairmail of tie Colmmittee oil Appropriations. and I know that he is sincere and wants to do the right thing. also that it is ]ils duty to safeguard the Treasury. I also have confidence in the Budget Commlittee. but I know that the Imigration Colmittee has thoroughly investigated this matter and has a great deal more information than that committee. I am in favor of this amendmlent iecause I know from the informatlion given before the Committee oil Immigration. and the knowledge I possess as to conditions oii theseborders. that this appropriation is necessary.
