So I say. Mr. President. that this provision of the bill in reference to 50 per cent of immigrants coming to America being brought in American vessels. even though it does not go so far as I think it ought to gofor Instead of providing that 50 per cent of those immigrants should be brought here in American ships the provision should be that all immigrants who come to this country should be brought in American vesselsIs a good provision. We have a perfect right so to provide. It would not be a discrimination against foreign nations to have such a provision in our law. and I heartily join the Senator from Washington in the proposal which is contained in the pending bill.
