From Mexico they are walklg over the border. where there are not sufficient guards. and also they are coming in from Cuba. as the gentleman from Ohio has told you. I have given my best attention to this subject. and I am sure the other members of the committee have. I am not at all satisfied with the present immigration law. There are many points at which it ought to be strengthened. but it is weaker in Its enforcement than at any other point. I do not assail the bureau that is trying to enforce the law. for I believe Commissioner Husband is doing his best under many disadvantages to enforce the law.
