Session #67 · 1921–23

Speech #670005119

I move to strike out the last word. I do this for the purpose of referring to the matter suggested by the gentlelnan from Massachusetts [Mr. Tmn.I)nVAY]. relating to the conditions at Ellis Island. The Italian society in the city in which I live has passed resolutions relative to the treatment of immigrants at this place. and this mutter was taken up by the governor of my State. It was Investigated. and in a short letter to me he has made a statement of that situation. which I desire to have the Clerk read in my time for the benefit of the House.
