Session #67 · 1921–23

Speech #670005058

I do not believe that anybody can make any calculation that is reasonable a- to that. I simply say that the relatives of our exservice men are entitled to come in. and I for one am sick and tired of all this talk of what we are going to do for tle exservice men. and then not doing it when we get a chance. Everybody in this country tlaims he wanis to help the exservice: men. and here is a particular class of them that are aliens and naturalized citizens. amounting to almost half a million. who gave their services loyally to their adopted country and who now ask nothing but the right to bring their own families into the adopted country for which they fought. Now you have a chance to vote in favor of these men. and I hope that Congress will pass this amendment.
