There are only two or three changes in this act. perhaps I ought to state. as compared wvith the present law. Tile present law limits the power to deport to tive years. except in cases relating to the whiteslave traffic. Sexually imnoral cases are subject to deportation at any tinie. This measure seeks to place anarchists and the ennmerated class in the same category with those engaged in the whiteslave traffiie. There is one other change. Under the existing law a mail must have been an anarchist when he came here. This subjects him to deportation if ie became an anarchist or if the fact became known subsequent to his entry into tite United States. So far as deportation is concerned. it would continue to be done as it is now and as it always has been since tile first immigration law was passed.
