Mr. President. on yesterday I gave notice that immediately upon the conclusion of the unfinished business I would call up the immigration bill. It has been the custom of the Senate since I have been here. when such notices have been given. to have them printed on the calendar. so that Senators might be aware of the intention of the one giving the notice. and be prepared to meet it. I see that the notice is not printed on todays calendar. I just rose to know whether or not that course had been taken simply with reference to this particular bill. or whether the proper authorities had decided to abolish the custom of printing such notices.
