I want only two minutes. The gentleman from Illinois has called attention to the provision that does not exist in the present law. and really that is the imitigation of the law as it stands. The law as it stands is three years. It must be a sentence of 12 months. and it must be for a crime involving moral turpitude. and the alien again is hedged about by the right of the judge to say that lie shall not be deported and lie will not be. I think it is in tihe interest of the alien. and I ask for a vote.
