Does not my colleague think that after all a large part of the objection that he makes is taken care of by tio. provision in the bill which forbids deportation if the judge who enters the sentence does not desire to have a man deported? IMIr. SABATH. In a measure it does. but I ai a little alarmed at the way in which that provision is worded. Two years ago I attempted to perfect that proviso but did not succeed. However. we succeeded in securing tills provision. which is better aiii nothing. though it does not go as far as we desired.
