Marcus Braun. of New York. an immigrant inspector sent by our Government to Europe to investigate Immigrant conditiohs there. reported to the Secretary of Commerce and Labor that the Hungarian Government had a contract with a steamship company. the Cunard Line. to deliver to their vessels 30.000 Hungarians a year. to be carried to the United States. The Hungarian governmental official told the American govertnmental official that the contract to send so many of their people to the United States every year was none of our business.
