I am. but I do not expect to have very many of the 73 Senators with me. and I think I can very safely express that desire. I do not think the proposed immigration law will keep us here. We may stay here. but it will not be that bill which will keep us. Then. Mr. President. we have passed during this session. as I figure it. something over 70 laws of a general character. and not a single law hasbeen placed upon the statute books for the benefit of labor. That is significant in view of the Democratic professions on behalf of labor.
