They were taken In charge by the Army of the United States and interned in three campstwo in Texas and one in California. In taking care of the military refugees who fled for the preservation of their lives and came into our territory there have already been expended about $236.000. The Secretary of War. under the orders of the President of the United States. put them into those camps and has provided for them until about $230.000 have been expended. It will require about half a million dollars to take care of those people until the 1st day of Xuly. the end of the present fiscal year.
