I ama of the opinion that there are some States that have gone on record. and very likely the gentlemans State is one of these. The geatlemian from Tennessee has continually bees insinuating that these immigrants do not nmake desirable citizens. and while it was not my intention to take up any more of the committees time. I can not resist the temptation to supply the gentleman with some information relative to the progress of the city which I have the honor to represent in part.
