Under existing law. when a Chimamnan is ordered deported lie is turned over to a nhlarshlat and conducted by the marshlal or (one of his deputies to tlie border or to the ship on which lie is to be deported. All other aliens who are deported are ii the custody and nder the control of the Department of Commerce and Labor. and the oflicials of that department state that if the Chinamen who are to be deported are also placed undcr their control they frequently will be able to send I hem in Custody of the same marshal who is taking other persons :lid would have colitrol over the expense of tile administration.
