Oh. I am glad there were men who were willing to assume the risk and go out there. I am glad that there were men willing to cross the Atlantic and build this mighty Republicon this hemisphere. and I want people always to do honor to those sturdy immigrants that came and built this mighty temple of liberty. in which peace. plenty. liberty. and happiness may prevail. [Applause.1 But. Mr. Chairman. I am not carried off my feet with the idea that I am willing to give special privileges to a man because he did his part in going out West and building up the country.
