The report submitted by Mr. PERKINs February 1. 1912. is as follows: The Committee on Naval Affairs. to whom was referred the bill to provide for the naturalization of aliens who have served or shall hereafter serve for one enlistment of four years in the United States Navy or Marine Corps or four years in the naval auxiliary. service. having considered the same. report thereon with a recommendation that it pass. with the following amendments: After the word " service." in the last line of the title. add the words or in the RevenueCutter Service." After the word " service." in line 9. page 1. of the bill. Insert the words " or who has served or may hereafter serve four years in the RevenueCutter Service and who has received therefrom an honorable discharge. or an ordinary discharge with recommendation for reenlistment." After the word "shall." in line 9. page 1. insert a comma and the words "at any time within three years from the date of such discharge or completion of honorable service." After the word "sources." in line 2 of page 2 of the bill. insert the words " or in the case of an alien who has served in the RevenueCutter Service by competent proof from the RevenueCutter Service." In line 4 of page 2 of the bill. after the word " service." insert the words " or the RevenueCutter Service." The object of this bill is to facilitate the naturalization of aliens serving in the Navy. Marine Corps. the naval auxiliary service. and RevenueCutter Service of the United States. and the proposed legis"lation is desired and urged by the Navy Department. as will appear from the following communication:
