Six thousand of these were from Europe and 4.000 from the United States. Within thirty days. I have seen them going through from our country. I have seen them day after day and year after year. with their families. in the emigrant wagon. and with all they had on earth in that little train. with perhaps four or five horses trailing along behind them. a few cows and calves. and the members of the family looking out all sides of the wagon. I can see them in my mind just as plainly as though they were before me. No money.
