No race or nationality has been spared in the efforts of those engaged in the business to secure the most attractive young women found in any laud. It has been said that a great many of those following the vile trade as procurers and principals are Jews. If it Is the case. as shown by the investigation. this probalbly arises from the fact that the immigration of Jews has been far in excess of any other race during the past few years. As a class I ama sure tile Jews are as pure. parentloving. and homeloving as any other and I agree with tle gentleman from New York that the report of the investigating committee is unnecessarily harsh in referring to the Hebrews as a class. In New York there are a million Jews. and I think they are as moral as any other race.
