Here is all that is required In the manifests. and it is very simple and does not take a great deal of time to make it: It says that steamships leaving from any port of the United States shall file before departure with the collector of customs of each port a complete list of all such alien passengers taken on board. and such list shall contain the name. age. sex. nationality. and residence in the United States. occupation. and the time of last arrival of such alien in the United States.
