I am doing the best I can under a Republican administration. I am doing the best I can under the light I have. but I knew nothing about it until the gentlemans amendment. which would show that we .had three different roads provided by which to get rid of the secretservice system. clogging the wheels of the Department of Justice. and of the Treasury Department. and starting some other sort of cloggery over in New York with another system of secret service. Now. I am astonished at the gentleman from Minnesota. who is a strong man. who as a rule understands his business. should say that in the execution of the naturalization laws in the great cities of this country we do not need attorneys to prosecute and look after the cases.
