The AttorneyGeneral selected as the assistant attorneygeneral to conduct the cases in the city of Denver a gentleman who had recently removed to Denver from Washington. for the benefit of his health. I understand. He had been in the War Department In Washington. I believe. and at the time he was appointed as a special attorneygeneral to take care of these naturalization cases in the city of Denver he was an employee in the quartermastergenerals department of the Department of Colorado. and was given a salary. I believe. of $2.500 a year. Now. it may be that he is an eminent lawyer.
