But this morning I put in the RECORD. first. the general military order. then the enactment of the military government. which enacted by sections our entire Chinese immigration law. and then a statement from the Bureau of Insular Affairs that the State Department reported that those laws are still in force. I made further inquiry of the Cuban minister in order to confirm that statement. and he did confirm it. He says the law has not been changed in any way. and that Chinese laborers can not be imported into Cuba any more than they may be imported into this country. that the laws are the same.
