We have had one or two instances here in the Senate. Senator JOHN P. JONES. of Nevada. is foreign born. He is one of the largest and most successful as well as best informed miners ever known to the mining interests of this country. Then there was Senator Fair. known as "Jim Fair. of Nevada." who formerly had a seat in this Chamber. and who made a vast fortune.
