Petitioner furer r states that t the time he purchased said house in 1889 he. in good faith. executed and gave a mortgage or deed of trust to secure the deferred payments on the purchase price. and now. as the title of your petitioner to the real estate aforesaid is clouded by reason of the act of CongresI herein referred to. he prays that said real estate. which may be forfeited under the provisions of said act. be relleved and excepted from the operation thereof. and fo- that purpose that the annexed act be passed. Petitioner is a poor man. and if the provisions of the act of March 3. 1887 are enforced against him it would be a great hardship to him. as he purchased his house in good faith for a home for himself and family.
