Iam tempted to say something -about the carefully planned electio iniquities in Wyandotte County. There is overwhelming testimonysufficient to satisfy any man who reads it that there was.ahugeRepublican electionconspiracy in Kansas City. Kans.. that therewasmuch done incarryingitout. thatthe only reason whyit did notiprovethoroughly and overwhelmingly successful was that extraordinary precautions were taken and extraordinary efforts made by the Democrats and by the antiBuchan Reptiblicans to prevent the Wholesale colonization and fraudulent regiEtration and -unlawful naturalizing of people to vote the Republican ticket. The .autiBuchan Republicans. while supporting the Republican ticket in general. including theCongressional nominee. were yet in favor of confining the voting to those who were entitled to vote. and of excluding from the -privilege of suffrage the ballotbox stuffer.and the repeater. MTere isin thIs record evidence. uncontradicted audirrefutable. -of some of these gentlemen showing what was -done. the extraordinary pains taken. the housetohouse canvasq. the careful inqiry land investigation.. the stationing of challengers at thepolls everywhere. the disregard df challengers by Republican judgesall tending to show that this -diection. despite all the precautions taken. was still far hort df being an entirely fair election.
