Session #53 · 1893–95

Speech #530132385

Stolars work in a chemical laboratory 7 years earlier had exposed her to government secrets. Since then. their repeated applications to leave have been refused. Unfortunately. this tragic situation is all too common. Like the Stolars. thousands of Soviet Jews endure uncertainty and harassment while waiting in limbo for permission to emigrate. Although they face their increasing isolation within the U.S.S.R. with courage and patience. they need to know that the outside world still cares about their plight. The fast and vigil today serve to remind us of their suffering. and to show them that they have not been forgotten.
